Dublin-based singer/songwriter Barry Finnimore is releasing his 2nd EP “She Shook Me” On June 21st.
Described by Hotpress Magazine’s Stuart Clarke as a “Gorgeous Seven Tracker” Barry’s Debut EP “What I See” garnered airplay in Ireland, Australia and on BBC Introducing. His debut single, When The Sky Turns Black was also featured on http://www.hotpress.com’s Free Music Friday, where it was compared to Nick Cave’s Murder Ballads.
Barry is from Middlesbrough and has been living in Ireland for eight years, and is currently based in Dublin. He is joined at live shows by his girlfriend Hazel O’Toole, on cajon/percussion and some backing vocals.
“She Shook Me” features Barry, Hazel and Emer O’Toole and is produced by the legendary Gavin Glass at Orphan Recording in Dublin.
The title track ‘She Shook Me’ is an instantly catchy track that eases into a summery jam with both Barry and Hazel on vocals, with cajon, tambourine, guitar and harmonium.
The song has been played on BBC’s Introducing show and was featured in the Irish Times NewFound Sounds Podcast.
